Bingham Swimming RULES!!!

Here is an article that was published in the Salt Lake Tribune on Sunday 12/18/2011, my 2 oldest Mackenzie and Ethan both swim for Bingham and did amazing this last weekend! Kenz dropped in both her 200 free and 100 back and in her relay events she dropped she does the 50 back and 100 free style, she is now in 6th place in the state in her 100 back and not sure on her 200 free style and her 2 relays are in 1st place and are both qualified to go to the speedo sectional meet in Seattle in March. Ethan did the 50 free and 100 back and dropped in both he is now the fastest freshman on the Bingham team in the 100 back!

At the Judge Memorial Holiday Classic on Saturday, Bingham showed why it remains one of the top state competitors in swimming.

The boys’ team won with a score of 481.33, beating nearest competitor Springville by 155.83, while the girls held up their end of the combined score victory, finishing with 462, a mark 105 points ahead of Class 3A defending champion Judge Memorial.

"This was a great meet," Judge coach Matt Finegan said. "The atmosphere is always electric. We were thrilled so many great teams could come and participate."

The noise was deafening as the teams huddled around the lap pool, screaming for their teammates at the Fairmont Aquatic Center. Joshua Haslem set the tone early for Bingham, finishing the boys’ 100-yard fly with a time of 53.74, winning by nearly five seconds over second-place finisher Trevor Bone, also of Bingham.

Throughout the day, Bingham swimmers were able to cut seconds off their personal bests and run away with the victory in the last meet before the new year.

"We had great swims across the board," Bingham head coach Andrea Bowhuis said. "It was a fast pool and a good meet going into the holidays."

However, Judge Memorial held its own against the much larger Bingham, with individual standouts putting up excellent times.

Sophomore Amelia Wolfgramm won the girls’ 100-yard free, finishing with a time of 54.07 over Bingham’s Kiersten Bradshaw. At 5:32.28, Alandra McDowell paced Judge in the girls’ 500-yard free, beating her nearest competitor, Grace Goddard of West Jordan, by more than 13 seconds.

Still, the weekend belonged to Bingham. The Miners won all of the team relays but one, narrowly losing to Judge in the girls’ 200-yard free relay by .61 seconds. The teams were nearly tied going into the final lap, but Kelsey Leeson was able to build a lead over Bradshaw as the anchor.

Bingham finished third in 5A for the boys and fourth for the girls in the state meet last year, but Bowhuis feels this year’s team has a legitimate shot at the title come February.

"They are the tightest-knit team I’ve ever coached in my 10 years at Bingham," Bowhuis said. "They are close, supportive and goal-oriented. We’re going to continue to improve."

I finished up one more semester of school! Still waiting on grades... Math is not my favorite! Ok I really do NOT like it!! You can see why I do NOT like it, ok for some this is easy!!

I am glad to have a month off!

Well the 3 kids that are in traditional school went back to school today, poor Keats has been going for about a month now! I am very ready to get back to our school routine. I can not believe how fast these kids are growing up, I really think they should all be in elementary school not working on graduating high school and doing college work.

Kenz and I get to have fun the next 2 semesters while I am almost done with my associates degree Kenz is just starting hers but we have the same math level this semester and next, I am very glad she is doing her associates while she is in high school it really seems like a ton more work but she will be so glad that she has done, I figure we will learn how this concurrent works and hoping to get all 4 of the kids to graduate high school with their associates degree!

Yesterday Keaton started 6th grade, we are on year round in our elementary schools and that means school starts the end of July, we still have a month until the 3 older kids go back....

Keats and Miya wanted to look like twins for the first day hair and all. I think they look pretty darn cute! It was a bit sad for me I will be glad to be done with 3 kids on traditional and 1 on year round but this is my BABY and she is on her last year of elementary school :(

Megan's 13th Birthday

I forgot to share these cute pictures from Megan's 13 birthday, she may have become a teenager but she is still a kid that LOVES legos!!! She asked everyone specifically for the rest of the Harry Potter Legos and she got them, she now has the complete set and is working on getting them put together, I just did not know she had been taking pictures along the way :)

This story started about 10 months ago during Kenzie's sophmore year, we got talking about how she will be starting college classes this summer 2011 so that when she graduates from high school she will also graduate from SLCC with her associate degree/general education and go right into her Bachelors.... I got thinking I really should go and finish my degree. Now this gets fun in September of last year I went and got a copy of my credits and what I needed, why did no one ever tell me that if you don't finish you Math, English and some science credits in 2 years you have to start over? That is what I have done I figured I can do this, I have lots of free time.... eye roll.... but I have been doing it, I took all my placement tests and got started!

My first semester back in classes was Winter 2011 and what do I do start with Geology, Humanities, Markting.... I must admit I did great 2 A's and one A- that would be in Geology. I figured ok I am doing this for this Summer 2011 we have 3 more classes, Human Biology (hardest class for a mid 30's mom), English 1010, and a Business.... the grades this semester worry me well 2 of them don't but I am betting the Human Bio is not an A.... I start Fall 2011 classes at the end of August and will have a full schedule Math 1010, Englis 2010, English 1030, and Communications in Marketing, I know I will get these passed and move onto Spring 2012 where if I keep up I will graduate and start my bachelors!!!! I am so excited that I can see the end of this part of my degree!

I just sit and think what was I thinking! I have always believed to better yourself and make yourself more valuable to your employer a degree is important and I am constantly telling my kids how important school is and how much further in life you will go! But here is little me a full time mom, a full time employee, and now a full time student! Thankfully my kids are now older and have been very helpful for the most part, my house is not always clean but soon I can say I have finished part of my degree! Hopefully my kids will learn from my example and get their degrees!

Well we went and saw the final Harry Potter and it got me thinking about how the first one we went and saw was almost 10 years ago!!! It came out in November 2001 I had a 7, 4, 3, 1 and by the end of 2001 my step mom died and my grandpa with in the same week. Now I have a 16,14,13,11 they can all read Harry now and most of them have finished the whole series! The older you get the faster it goes!

Who said that she could grow up? When did 11 years go by? I really can not believe how fast time flies when you have kids.... My baby just turned 11 she had a small friend party at Boondocks and they had a blast Meg came with to help and really did I sat and took pictures and read a book, now that is a friend party that could be done again! Then on Sunday we had the family party, she really made out well with all of her presents and as usual got spoiled......

Keaton had her last choir performance last night for this year, it was a great program as usual, they sang songs that had to do with different era's in American history then finished the night with a tribute to the military. I love going and watching her sing, she seems to love it even if some weeks getting to practice at 7:15 am is rather hard....

Well as usual we are always going and it doesn't seem to be changing anytime soon, I wouldn't change a thing! I love to go and watch these kids grow and learn from their experiences in sports and school. What I don't like is how fast they seem to be growing, Kenzie is finishing her Sophmore year and just registared for College coarses so that when she graduates high school she will also graduate with her associates degree (general ed requiments) and go right into her bachlors degree.... Ethan is finishing 8th grade that means from now on his schooling will be high school..... Megan 7th grade almost done really? and then Keaton..... can she really be almost done with Elementary.... someone please slow time down!

We went on a cruise to the Caribbean April 1-9, 2011 we had 14 people with us our family of 6, the Dunn's family of 5, my mom and Ned, and Danny's mom Joyce. This was the first cruise for my younger 2 kids and Jeff and all of the Dunn kids, my mom, Ned, and Joyce, let's just say everyone loved it and we are all planning to do another one!

This had to be one of the most relaxing and enjoyable vacation that I personally have ever taken! The kids all hung out with their cousins and had a blast all week, they could eat when they wanted, we had amazing room stewards that cleaned up after them, and an awesome waiter at dinner that brought us a few extra appetizers, entree', and desserts. I thought I would come home and gained 20 pounds, thankfully that didn't happen!

Our cruise went to Nassau, Bahamas, St Thomas, San Juan, and Grand Turk. Nassau we went to Atlantis the resort/hotel is amazing and fun with lots of water slides and different things for the kids to do, a very pretty island but didn't get enough time to really enjoy the island, our next stop was St Thomas and island I have always loved we went to beach in Megan's bay and hung out at the beach, paddle boarded, and the girls got their hair braided, then off to San Juan, we spent the day going to the old fort El Morro and shopping, found some great shops, a very cool butterfly shop that had some gorgeous framed butterflies, then some of my favorite shops (coach, dooney, just to name a few) so I enjoyed this a lot! and we then set sail for Grand Turk the capital of Turks and Cacaos we had never visited this island and I must say it is one of the most beautiful islands that I have ever been to, snorkeling was amazing, the beaches whiter than I had ever seen!

This was truly a vacation I will never forget and can not thank all the family that I spent the week with for making it even more enjoyable! I unfortunately don't have many pictures as the memory card from the camera fell out and is lost...... but I did have a few from my phone thankfully!

Just a few glimpses of what we did on vacation in Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons we had so much fun it was a great time and what a beautiful place to visit we saw a numbe of animals 2 Bears a whole bunch of Buffalo, Bald Eagle, Elk and a few other animals.

It was so nice to spend time there before the kids went back to school.

I was sent this letter from David Peck via email from another teacher at Bingham High School and I figured I would share it.

Concerned Teachers, Parents & Friends
Emotions are running high, and I have had many thoughts racing through my mind about the lives of individuals, especially our children, that will be in turmoil in the next few months if somebody does not step up and fight for what is right.
I woke up at 3:00 am the other morning and could not sleep because of the things that were weighing on my mind. I wanted to try and figure out an answer to our problem, because I care and it frustrates me to think what the outcome could be. I do not know what the answer is, but do know that with the help of caring individuals and a School Board that sincerely wants what is best for our students, we can find a solution that will benefit us all. We all must join together to ensure the Legislature will help fix this mess they created by allowing our district split.
I have lived and raised my children over the past 25 years, in four of the five cities that make up our School District-- West Jordan, Riverton, South Jordan and currently in Herriman. I personally know what great people we have in each area and know that all of us would be willing to do whatever it takes to prevent this calamity from happening.
I am fighting because I know how important a good educational system is to our community. When people are deciding where to live, the quality of the school system is one of the major factors in their decision. My daughter lives up north and has her house for sale because she wanted to move closer to our family, but because of the state of our district she will not consider bringing my two granddaughters to our school district. Eventually people will move out and the value of our homes will go down.
I keep saying that I am not sure how I ended up being one of the teachers that are fighting mad about the current situation that our school district is in. Usually I just sit back and let other people take care of these types of problems. I thought I was too busy trying to build our football program into something that everybody could be proud of. I was totally spent at the end of this week trying to do both, and am thankful that I have the health, energy and abilities to continue this fight because it is so important for the future of education.
I am fighting because I do not want to see good young teachers lose their jobs. Are we willing to sell out our future by firing these great people? I know that many of the teachers that will be let go are far superior to me at that same age. They have spent a lot of time and money on their education to do what they love doing, and that is to make a difference with our children. Many of these teachers will go into other professions and never teach again.
I am fighting for the elementary children that struggle to read and write. We cannot expect our teachers to touch the lives of our children like they are capable of, when class sizes keep growing. Are we okay with having your children be in the biggest classes, not only in our state but in the nation?
I am fighting because I know how much time and energy goes into being a great teacher. We as teachers put in a lot of extra time to be the quality teachers that we are. Do people have any idea how long it takes to correct 100 essays? This is the average number of students that our teachers teach on any given day.
I am fighting because I believe that every child on the West side deserves the same educational opportunities as any child on the East side or any other area in the Great State of Utah. If our children do not have the same educational opportunities, how do we expect them to compete for scholarships, jobs and extracurricular competitions?
I have watched the fighting spirit at many athletic contests between our schools and communities that have created quite a stir. It was great to see West Jordan boy’s basketball team overcome all odds and win a State championship in 2009 and Copper Hills did the same thing a few years ago. Riverton girls track team beat everybody in the state to be crowned the 2009 State Champions. At Bingham where I work, I cannot imagine a finer group of hard working motivated individuals in America. I have watched thousands of people show up for our football games when Bingham has faced Alta, knowing that we were all fighting for West side pride. All of our schools and each feeder system are enraged over what is happening to our students and teachers, which was evident by their turnout at the School Board meeting on Tuesday February 23rd. That was hopefully just the beginning of all of us working together for a solution to a problem that I keep hearing has no answer.
I truly believe if we lay off teachers, increase class sizes and take away preparation time, we will start to see this West side pride start to die out. I hope we will not permit that to happen. A lot of our Grandfathers and Great Grandfathers were Miners that had no problem fighting for a cause; they were called blue-collar workers, which at one time was an honor.
We are all very spoiled living in this generation. I hear how we are going through some tough times but most of our children have their own cell phones. I know most of us pay a lot of money to sit in front of our television and watch our favorite programs in HD. I see a lot of us going on cruises and expensive trips. Our Great Grandparents would have loved to have it so bad. Are we honestly saying that there are no solutions to our current situation? Has the education of our children reached such a low priority that we are not willing to give up some of our luxuries to assure our children have the same opportunities as other children in our state?
I am involved because I truly believe that the majority of people in this great state really do care about each other. It is easy for people that are not pro-education to say the reason teachers are fighting this fight is for their own selfish reasons; I am here to convince you otherwise. Most teachers chose this profession because they wanted to make a difference in this world. Jordan School District was once a proud and thriving district that set the standards in how to be successful. Many teachers were excited to be hired and spend their careers teaching for such a great organization. If the events that have been presented do unfold, our proud district will have fallen below minimal standards to an all-time low. There are different kinds of advantages that come with being a teacher, and some of these have declined over the past few years. Some of these values are emotional and some are physical. Teachers learn from their students and take pride in watching their faces light up. Teachers love to help their students finally understand and gather a concept. Other advantages of being a teacher are the benefits we receive after thirty plus years. This is one we have seen decline. In the last few years we have lost many of the benefits that were promised to us when we were hired. Our retirement plan has changed significantly and we pay more for health insurance than most, but we did not fight back and we continued to teach. We have lost many professional development days the past couple of years that cost us money and valuable learning opportunities. These days used to be something we as teachers looked forward to. They helped us to refresh our teaching methods and be informed on the new and innovative ideas that are presented to educators. When these days were cut, we as teachers again did not fight back and again continued to teach. We have now been told that we are going to lose 250 of our teachers, increase class sizes and lose some of our prep time. This time we are fighting back even if it means we will not continue to teach. We’re backed into a corner. We’ve reached a tipping point. Things must change NOW!
This is not just an issue for teachers; it is not just an issue for students or parents; or for members or nonmembers of the JEA. This is bigger than all of us, and we all need to be united and commit to our school system here on the West side. We cannot all think it’s going to be okay, and work itself out when no effort is put forth. Everyone needs to help in this time of turmoil to ensure the rights of teachers, and the rights of our students. I hope everybody will jump into the battle and continue to fight. Please remember what we are fighting for—our children’s education and their future!
The first step in this fight is to come to our information meeting Tuesday, March 2nd at 6:30 pm in the Bingham High School auditorium. I’m looking forward to seeing you all there.

Summer 2009

Once again I have been horrible about keeping up the blog!!! but I have started posting lots on Facebook but figured I better get back to the blog also! I thought I better give a glimps of what we have been upto the last few months... we started with Keats turning 9 (wow my baby is 9) and Megs and I went and saw Taylor Swift, what a fun night!! she got to hug Taylor!! followed by Ethan making all stars he was sooooo excited and had a blast with some great coaches! next onto Megs 11th Bday!! a bunch of girls sleeping over!! and onto more swimmimg baseball and softball, life can be so crazy but so fun. We have been out boating and had a blast there was not many boats out ( I love it when the lake is not crowded) Kenz has been working on jumping the wake wakeboarding and is getting there. Geez what a crazy summer so far, Megs softball team played in the World Series and did great, and then onto the Kenney Chesney concert for a fun girls night out!!! and I can not believe it but I already sent 2 kids back to school, wow summer is already coming to an end!!!

SLOW AGAIN!!!!

So once again I am so slow at updating my blog!!! We have had a crazy month again, but how would things ever be different than any other month.

First the State JO Meet, Kenz did AWESOME she dropped time in almost everything and place in the top 20 in all of her events she is so excited because she has not even started the big High School training and is swimming just as fast as High School Girls!! Keats did so GREAT at the meet she took 2 team records and keeps getting faster and faster and she is just loving swim!! I am so glad that she has finally found a sport that she loves and is good at!!! They have been on a break for the last month (this has been nice) but Kenz has been playing Ultimate Frisbee (basically football with a Frisbee) with the older swim kids after school everyday and has been having a blast what a nice change it has been!!

Second Baseball, Softball and La Crosse have started!! Softball is going great the Freeze is off to a great start and they are 5-0 and doing great Megs is catching again and doing great she is also hitting well!!! I can not believe how far she has come from this little 4 year old that started playing softball just because the cute girls across the street played and Megs loved to watch her!! Baseball started a few weeks ago and Ethan has loved it this year!! His coaches have him pitching!! that really surprised me but he is doing GREAT and loving it! He has also started La Crosse and has not yet started games but has been loving the practices and as his coach said for being a 1st year he is real good cause he can catch and throw with the stick??? not really sure what that means but I will learn this new sport!

I took the kids over spring break down to Capital Reef (Torrey,UT) to see an old friend of mine and to let the kids have a little vacation, we had a blast and really enjoyed the break! I even got to work at Slackers I have done this a few times, my friend owns the burger joint and we have fun working together and catching up and the kids love the fact that they can walk all over and not have to worry about anything to much because it is such a small town.

Big Swim meet this weekend!!

Just to let everyone know that Kenz and Keats have the big year end swim meet this weekend 03/19-03/21 at South Davis Rec Center. Kenz has qualified for the State Junior Olympics in 7 events and swims pre-lims Thurs Fri and Sat in the moring
830 am and then will hopefully make it back to Finals all 3 afternoons in her individual events and has Relays the afternoon part starts at 530pm all 3 days. She has qualified to swim 200 Freestyle & 100 Butterfly (thurs) 100 Freestyle & 100 Backstroke (fri) 200 Individual Medley 50 Freestyle & 200 Backstroke (sat)

Now for Keats she swim Fri and Sat at 1pm at the same pool this is the portion of the meet for all the kids that have done great all year but didnt make the junior times...she is way excited and should do really great!!! Keats is swimming the 50 Freestyle 50 Breaststroke and 100 backstroke (fri) 100 IM 50 butterfly & 50 back (sat)

So if you all need something to do this weekend head on out to Davis county they kids would love to have a cheering section!!!

What else do I do but kids? and then add knee surgery!

So what else do I do besides write about my great kids, yes I know I am a proud mom!!! but what mom isn't!! We have been busy as usual, but then I finally figured ok I am going to get this knee fixed that has been nothing but problems for awhile!! Now try doing that and being a mom and working, guess what it does not work!!! I am so far behind on everything and feeling overwhelemed, but I will get through it I always do. The kids have been good but their version of clean and mine are two very different things!!
The kids have been so much fun here is a shock there was another swim meet but this time up in Logan the girls did GREAT Keaton took 5th place in 9 and unders she was so cute and did so well!! Kenz did awsome to she got 9th over all I know this sounds like we are proud of the kids doing ok, but really her age group is considered 14-99 so she did good, swimming is just one of those sports that seems strange. Ethan on the other hand shocked me he came home from school about a week ago and told me he is student of the month, not that he is a bad kid he is not at all but if you know him you know that he loves to tease and tourment...I will leave it at that, he is so much fun to be around and as a reward for student of the month we are having a mom and son date and he requested a Jazz game so I got tickets for us as a surprise and when he got his award at school last friday I let him know which game we are going to and he is excited we got the Jazz vs Lakers. And my Megs she is so cute and just loves her cousins and can not seem to get enough of them or her Grammy! she is getting ready for Softbal season to start and they have started practicing again and she has been working on her catching that she just loves (she even got a new catchers mit and was bouncing aroung the house she was so excited).

I am greatful for the help they have been, and I need to learn their version of clean is ok!! and I am thankful for all the help I have gotten from a number of people with my knee surgery, it was alot worse than I thought but now starting therapy it seem to be doing better!!! So thanks to everyone that helped!!!

What we have been up to!

We had a wonderful Christmas and holiday season and enjoyed spending time with the kids! They got some fun stuff for Christmas like Rock Band etc.. and have had fun playing these games with the kids! We gave them a trip to Disneyland and went in January and had a wonderful week with the kids and spending time with them! It was also Ethan's 12th birthday that is hard to believe that is has been 12 years since he was born! I am so grateful to have 4 fun and great kids ans enjoy spending time with them and watching them grow up!! Danny and I got the kids to go on every ride atleast 1 time and even if they had been scared they ended up liking the ride in the end, we went to Seaworld one day and the kids got to feed the dolphins etc...on the way back to LA we stopped in LaJolla and saw where kenz goes to swim camp during the summer. It really was a fun trip!!! now we have had to get back to the real world, well sort of, I finally got my knee fixed on Thursday and am hoping that it will work and can start running again!

Crazy December

I dont have any pictures but wanted to give an update...Sports are sort of calming down for a bit Ethan is now playing basketball and wow he is good!!! He doesnt play againg until January, Megan is also playing Basketball with her softball team but they also don't play for another month so for us all that we have really had is swimmimg, Keaton is doing amazing for this little 8 year old fish she set a new team record!!! and Kenz is having the best short coarse season she has ever had, she has qualified for the junior olympics in 5 events!!! she has made it before in younger age groups in 1 or 2 events but 5 this is a first, and in things she has never made before, she is qualified in the 50 free, 100 free, 200 back, 100 butterfly, 200 IM (I hope you all remember these events from tht summer olympics thanks to Micheal Phelps) she has the potential for 4 more events that she is very close to!!!

I am so proud of these kids they amaze me all the time even with doing 1 sport each they can all keep their grades up Kenz is in honors and get a 4.0 most quarters the others are still elementary so no gpa.

We did have a scare with Megs last week she woke up on Monday with a horrible stomach ache that the Dr's couldnt figure out and we ended up seeing a Dr that we normally dont see that finally figured out what was wrong, she has a bacteria that she got when she was little from So CA (food poisoning) that has been causing havoc in her tummy for years and finally caused a lot of prolems the poor kid was on IV for 3 days but she still managed to keep up on all her homework!!!

Anyway that is about it for the short update...hahaha hope you all have a very Merry Christmas!!!

So it has once again be sometime since I have done any updating on my Blog, I just added some picture of the cruise that my friend got married on and I was the Maid of Honor...it was a blast and very nice to get away for a week. We have been pretty busy as usual,Ethan has taken the fall off from sport (weird)and there has been a break from softball that has been nice for me, but Megs is missing it... Kenz and Keats have been doing a few swim meet and Grammy even took them to her first one where she got to be involved and had a blast with the kids all week... thanks for the help mom!!! We went and took some new pictures of the kids and I can not believe how old they are looking, Wow does time ever fly!!! It has been a good Thanksgiving and thankful for my great kids Ethan and I put the lights up on the house! and Megs and Keats did the stuff on the ground outside, they can be so good(when they want to)but anyway I am very thankful for them they do bring alot of joy to my life....

I have been part of an amazing group of women, we are part of the West Jordan Chamber and have been hosting lunches helping in the community etc...I have been with this board for almost 2 years and love it and have made some great friends!!! We had our annual witches lunch today and I thought you would all love to see these amazing women in our real clothes (HAHAHAH)

Mesquite Tournament

Once again we have softball pictures, the girls went and played in a tournament in Mesquite this past weekend, they did really GREAT and once again took 3rd place. It was lots of fun to watch such a great group of kids play softball, Meg has been practing catching and caught all 6 games that they played over the weekend and then came back on Monday and caught for 2 more games. I have to say these girls are doing amazing they are all hitting the ball and playing great!!!!

Park City Swim....

So as you can see we had a swim meet up in Park City, this is the start of Kenzie's
5th year of swimming and she is doing AMAZING!! she is hitting times that she has made goals for the end of the season and it is only the 1st meet of this year!

Now onto our new little swimmer Keaton started swimming this last summer, she has been enjoying it. After some influnce from friends (Kailen) and mom she agreed to do the swim meet this weekend and she did GREAT!!! She was so proud of her self and all that she talked about at dinner was that she got 2nd place in the 50 freestyle (this is just out of her group of 8 swimmers) but to her she got 2nd and who am I to tell her any different, she really did do very well she is only 8 and swims against 10 year olds.

It was a great and fun meet, and all the kids on our SWAT swim team did great and thanks to all the older kids who helped to make sure the new little ones made their races, this really is a great team and WOW we had 59 swimmers at this meet, when I first started coaching at this team we had been lucky to get maybe 15 out, so go SWAT!!!!!

Softball Tournament

So this weekend got to be an adventure?!?!? Megan had a softball tournament that started on Thursday and went to Saturday. They started bracketing by losing the first game that in turn sent them to the Losers Bracket and they had to battle back to win 5 games in a row and take 3rd place!!! this has to be the most amazing girls that I think that I have been around!! They REALLY do work as a team and have fun together!!! With this tournament came some saddness as we are going to be losing Jeneece and Brittney as they age up and have to go to older teams.
:( this was hard when the coaches asked Jeneece if she wanted to tell the girls anything and just started crying which in turn made most of us cry.... what a great kid!!!! I could not be prouder of these girls!!! GO FREEZE!!!!!

So Ethan got an amazing opportunity to go to the Salt Lake Bees game with his baseball team and go on a tour of EVERYTHING and then they introduced his team to all the fans and during the national anthem they get to stand on the field with the bees player in the main position that they play. They had a blast and got a bunch of the Bees autographs!!!!
